Proceeds will go towards supporting the education a wonderful Disabled Black woman who is getting her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy.

This piece means a lot to me as it is about the silencing of disabled voices by the medical community. This is in great part due to structural ableism and racism in medical education, and only made worse by the fact that women of color and disabled folks are not well represented in the field. It is important to make sure we are supporting the higher education of many people who face additional obstacles while fighting against a system built against them. Support these voices. They must be heard.
